Introduction
Jesus Christ, whom we worship, is our crucified, risen and ascended Lord and we have walked with him through his journey of love. We have faced the agony of his suffering and death on a cross. We have rejoiced at his bursting free from the bonds of death. We have enjoyed his risen presence with us and his revelation of himself through the breaking of bread. We have seen his return to the throne before which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that this Jesus is Lord. And now, with the followers of his own time, we await the coming of the promised Holy Spirit, his gift to his people, through whom we make Christ known to the world.

The Creed
Let us declare our faith in God.
We believe in God the Father,
from whom every family
in heaven and earth is named.
We believe in God the Son,
who lives in our hearts through faith,
and fills us with his love.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit,
who strengthens us
with power from on high.
We believe in one God;
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Prayers of Intercession
Lord, come to bless us
and fill us with your Spirit.
In our prayer this week we pray that:
- God will renew his church throughout the world with a fresh outpouring of his Holy Spirit, and that renewed in holiness and led into all truth, we would minister his grace to the world.
- The Holy Spirit would bring a spirit of unity into the hearts and minds of all those who are in conflict, to work towards reconciliation and peace.
- The Holy Spirit would touch all those we know who do not yet know Jesus as Lord, especially our family members.
- God would bless our young people especially those sitting exams in this season and give them peace, calm and good recall.
- God would bring healing to Roz, Ronnie, Sue, Artie, Tim, Betty, Tracy, Joyce, Chris, Christopher, Piotr, Moira, Jemma and Beth.
- God would comfort the bereaved as we remember those who have died recently, and those whose anniversary falls at this time, among them: Vera Wade, Fred Cossey, Amelia Noel.
And at the end
Hear our prayer,
and make us one in heart and mind
to serve you with joy for ever. Amen.
Prayers of Penitence
What God has prepared for those who love him,
he has revealed to us through the Spirit;
for the Spirit searches everything.
Therefore, let us in penitence open our hearts to the Lord,
who has prepared good things for those who love him.
You raise the dead to life in the Spirit:

The Peace
God has made us one in Christ.
He has set his seal upon us and, as a pledge of what is to come,
has given the Spirit to dwell in our hearts. Alleluia.

Preparation of the Table
Taking of the Bread and Wine
Blessed be God, who feeds the hungry,
who raises the poor, who fills our praise.
Blessed be God for ever.
The Eucharistic Prayer
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give thanks and praise.
It is indeed right, it is our duty and our joy,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
holy Father, almighty and everlasting God,

This day we give you thanks
because in fulfilment of your promise
you pour out your Spirit upon us,

this is my blood of the new covenant,

Jesus Christ is Lord:
Lord, by your cross and resurrection
you have set us free.
You are the Saviour of the world.
So, Father, we remember all that Jesus did,
in him we plead with confidence his sacrifice
made once for all upon the cross.
Bringing before you the bread of life and cup of salvation we proclaim his death and resurrection until he comes in glory.
Lord of all life,
help us to work together for that day
when your kingdom comes
and justice and mercy will be seen in all the earth.
look with favour on your people,
gather us in your loving arms and bring us with the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Through Christ our Lord, and with Christ, and in Christ,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all honour and glory are yours, O Loving Father,
for ever and ever.

The Lord’s Prayer
Let us pray with confidence as our Saviour has taught us

Faithful God,
who fulfilled the promises of Easter

Almighty God,
we thank you for feeding us
with the body and blood of your Son Jesus Christ.
