Introit Hymn:

Prayers of Penitence

God so loved the world
that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ
to save us from our sins,
to be our advocate in heaven,
and to bring us to eternal life.

Let us confess our sins in penitence and faith,
firmly resolved to keep God’s commandments
and to live in love and peace with all.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
we have sinned against you
and against our neighbour
in thought and word and deed,
through negligence, through weakness,
through our own deliberate fault.
We are truly sorry
and repent of all our sins.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
who died for us,
forgive us all that is past
and grant that we may serve you in
newness of life to the glory of your name.

Absolution

Almighty God who forgives all who truly repent,

Almighty and everlasting God,

you have given us your servants grace,

by the confession of a true faith,

to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity

The Creed

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is,
seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,

Intercessions:

Let us pray that the Peace of the Prince of Peace will be established in all the earth. Let us pray for all in authority and power that God would guide their hearts.

Let us give thanks to God for His Majesty the King for his life of service and praying for his health and well-being and for the whole Royal Family.

Let us pray for God's Church throughout the world, pray for the protection of Christians in the State of Manipur in India and that we would spread the good news abroad to those around us praising and glorifying God as we go.

Please pray for our archbishops, bishops and for all clergy and lay ministers for , strength and courage and wisdom in leading God's people.

Let us pray for all who live and work in our parish that they may sense God's presence, hear his word, experience his love and come to faith in Jesus our Lord.

Let us pray for all whom we know need God's healing, comfort and grace at this time praying especially for those we know and love.

Let us pray for all those who are working on the frontline in healthcare.

Let us pray for all who are bereaved as we remember those who have died especially those who passed away recently or whose anniversaries fall at this time, among them John Thurley, Baldwin Badoo, Ken Hewitt and Augustus Korantery.

The Peace

We are the Body of Christ. In the One Spirit we were all baptised into one body. Let us then pursue all that makes for peace and builds up our common life.

The peace of the Lord be always with you

and also with you.
